Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire where she attended The Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she realized she wanted to become an actress. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she was taught acting and singing. From the age of 10, she took part and played the leading role in several Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent via the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditions of 8. They were cast as three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. The film broke records for beginning-day and weekend-opening sales and was the highest-grossing film in 2001. Critics gave high praise to the film, and especially the young performers. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Emma's performance received nominations and later won awards in the film.
