Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21, 1983) is an acclaimed American actor. She is most famously known for her role was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go into Los Angeles to live with her mother. The actress landed her first part, as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. The TV film Murder in Greenwich that she appeared in, where she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She was the main character for two seasons and was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was a co-star with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, decided to make the move into the world of film. The role she played was Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken in 2008) in Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. In 2008, she played the same role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. The role she plays is Faith, a groupie who serves as a model for celebrities and attracts the eye from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Maggie Gyllenhaal.........................Margalit Ruth Gyllenhaal ( born November 16 1977) is an American actress and filmmaker. Part of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager her career began as a small part-time actress for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko with her brother. Then she appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) of which earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. The year 2006 was the time she starred in numerous commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother who has a child earned her nomination to the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. In the following years she appeared in comedy and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. Her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent for the Secret Service in White House Down 2013 as well as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and also in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she is the main character. In 2021, Gyllenhaal was able to make her writing and directing debut in the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she received the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
